Electrical Installation Condition Reports

A full inspection and testing of your property's electrical installation, with a written report on its condition and safety.

What is an EICR?

An EICR is a formal report on the safety and condition of the fixed electrical installation in a property. An engineer inspects the wiring, consumer unit, circuits, sockets and earthing, then tests the installation to confirm it's safe. The result is a written report with a clear pass, pass-with-observations, or fail outcome, and any remedial work required is listed.

When you need one

Landlords are legally required to have an EICR every five years for each rental property, and to provide a copy to tenants. Homeowners typically arrange one when buying a property, after a significant alteration, or when selling. Businesses often need one for insurance or licensing purposes.
